Rental Policies

  1. The Renter is solely responsible for any damage, loss or theft of rented equipment.
  2. The Renter is responsible for inspecting equipment when picking it up. The Renter is responsible for the equipment's condition upon returning it.
  3. For unreturned or equipment damaged beyond repair, the Renter will be responsible for paying the equipment's retail cost.
  4. For damaged equipment, the Renter will be responsible for paying repair costs. The Renter will also be responsible for paying shipping and handling if the equipment must be returned to the manufacturer for repair.
  5. For unreturned or equipment returned late, the Renter will be responsible for paying late fees. Late fees equal the weekly rate multiplied by the number of weeks overdue at the time of billing. 
  6. Equipment must be returned clean and dry. Cleaning fees may apply for equipment returned dirty and/or wet.
  7. When returning tents, the Renter will be responsible to set up the tent to demonstrate its returned condition.
  8. No refunds are available for cancellations less than two days prior to pick up date.
  9. All fees described above may be billed to UCSC student accounts.
