Locker Service Resumes for Slug Recreation Members

After years of canceled services due to the 2020 pandemic, we are pleased to announce the resumption of locker service to all Slug Recreation members beginning this quarter.

Dear Slug Recreation Member,

On behalf of the Department of Athletics & Recreation (A&R), we hope this message finds you in good health and spirits, despite the severe weather conditions and unanticipated start to the Winter Quarter and New Year. It is with great excitement that after years of canceled services due to the 2020 pandemic, we are pleased to announce the resumption of locker service to all Slug Recreation members beginning this quarter. 

Over the course of the past three years, there have been many impactful changes to the A&R membership program structure as a whole, including access to group exercise classes and updated payment options, such as recurring payments which are now available for select memberships. While day-use lockers have been available over the past year, we are thrilled to be able to offer locker service to members in need of more frequent access and long-term options to store their personal belongings.

Lockers are now available for rent on a quarterly basis and can be purchased on the Athletics & Recreation website linked here. Please follow the below instructions carefully, as the purchasing process has changed:

  • Log in to your campusrec.ucsc.edu account using your CruzID (for students/faculty/staff) or your email registered on your account.
  • Once logged in, click the ‘Memberships’ icon > select ‘Slug Rec Memberships’
  • On the ‘Search Memberships’ page, scroll down until you see the (Non-Student) or (Student) Full Locker and/or Half Locker options. Select the desired locker location (Men’s or Women’s Pool Locker Room).
  • Once you’ve selected the desired locker type and location, select the Quarter, and ‘Add to Cart’ > Click Checkout
  • Proceed in purchasing the selected locker service by checking out using the card on file or by entering a new card payment type.
  • Once you complete the purchasing process, you will receive an online receipt to the email registered on your account.
  • In order to receive your locker assignment, members must visit the Member Services desk at the main entrance of the East Field House and present proof of purchase i.e email receipt/confirmation.
  • Once confirmed, a staff member will provide you with your locker number and will direct you to your locker location.

Note: 1.) You must be an active Slug Recreation Member to purchase Locker Service. 2.) All sales are final and must be purchased online with a credit or debit card. 3.) Locks are not provided or available for purchase. Members are responsible for providing their personal locks. 4.) Locker services are non-refundable and non-transferable. 5.) Members must remove personal locks and contents out of their lockers at the end of each quarter to allow for scheduled maintenance of locker rooms. 

We understand it may take some time for members to navigate through this new process. Therefore, we appreciate your patience during this transition and are happy to assist you in any way possible to ensure a positive customer experience.
