Hello Banana Slugs!

The Department of Athletics & Recreation is thrilled to announce that our Fitness Center is officially set to reopen to all Slug Recreation Members (undergraduate and graduate students, faculty, emeriti, staff, alumni, retirees, affiliates, and community members) on Sunday, August 1st!

After over a year and a half of being closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are so very excited to welcome back the majority of our campus community to our Athletics & Recreation Complex for lap swimming, tennis, and the Fitness Center! This is a major milestone and we recognize that we could not have made it this far through our reopening phase without our dedicated student staff, support from University physical plant and custodial services, and senior leadership.

Due to the many recent changes regarding operational hours, facility access, and COVID mitigation policies, please read the information below that is pertinent to ensuring a smooth transition back to the Athletics & Recreation Fitness Center.

What to Expect:

Thoroughly cleaned and completely re-designed equipment layout that optimizes safety, performance, and aesthetics.

We kindly request that all visitors do their part in mitigating the spread of COVID-19 by washing hands, wearing masks, wiping down and sanitizing equipment, and social distancing.
