We are pleased to announce that the pool will reopen during normal operating hours on Friday, August 25th! Our efforts in working with Physical Plant and campus stakeholders to restore the pool filter and chemical treatment systems have been successful. With confidence, we can affirm that the pool is now safe and ready for recreational activities to resume.
We would like to extend our utmost gratitude to the entire Slug Recreation Community for your patience and understanding during this necessary shutdown. It has been and always will be our greatest priority to ensure that we provide health and wellness activities that are both safe and secure for all of our valued Members.
Please be advised of a temporary shift in ingress and egress to and from the pool deck. Due to planned maintenance impacting the main corridor leading from the East Field House lobby to the pool, we ask that Members utilize the doors located within the pool locker rooms to access the pool deck during this time. Once maintenance has been completed, the doors leading to the pool deck from the East Field House lobby will once again serve as the main entry point to the pool.
For Members who chose to pause their Membership and filled out the form before the deadline of August 4th, your Membership will reactivate on Friday, August 25th, 2023 and the end date will be extended for the duration of the closure. You will receive a separate communication with your membership details. We hope that this accommodation was helpful and very excited to welcome you all back!
