NOLS Wilderness Medicine Courses
We are proud to host a wide range of wilderness medicine certification courses through the NOLS Wilderness Medicine Institute. Learn more about each course and local information (lodging, directions, parking, enjoying campus, college credit, what to bring, what to expect):
- Wilderness First Aid (2 days)
- Wilderness First Responder (9 days + 1 break day; or 5 days for Hybrid)
- Wilderness First Responder - Recertification (3 days; or 2 days for Hybrid)
When 9-1-1 is not an option, the rules change ... plain and simple! For over 50 years the NOLS has defined the standards in wilderness medicine training. Here at UC Santa Cruz, we offer a wide range of course and certification opportunities tailored to meet your needs. These courses are open to the public; university affiliation is not required.
